Teaching Intern - Florida

Two positions available for motivated individuals looking for real-world experience in Elementary and Secondary Education.

Location: Dade City, Florida Duties: East Pasco Adventist Academy is currently a Pre-K to 9 school (with 85 students) that is expanding to include 10th grade for the 08-09 school year and 11th grade for 09-10 school year. This is a progressive SDA School in a beautiful, sunny Florida, rural location with rolling hills. Beaches 45 minutes away, downtown Tampa 30 minutes, Airport 45 minutes, Local Adventist Hospital 3 miles. Orlando and Disney World 75 minuts, Cape Cavernal and Daytona Beach 2 hours. Our community includes a 160 bed Adventist hospital, a new 475 member church, as well as two adventist nursing homes. Candidate will be assisting with curriculum for all grades and work as Teachers assistant when necessary. The candidate will be helping facilitate classes, possibly teaching elementary physical education classes, possibly be teaching computer education, and/or participate as teacher's aid in music education. School may consider skills of candidate and tailor job description as necessary. If necessary, candidate may facilitate classes taught from a remote location as part of an AE21 program http://www.ac21.org School may consider permanent employment to right candidate for second year. Two volunteers needed (either of same sex or married). At least one of the volunteers must have personal vehicle (vehicle wll not be used for school activities, but is necessary for rural area to move about the community and enjoy the state).
